Lucinda Williams to Play Paris
Trips to Paris could prove popular with fans of American folk and rock music later this year when Lucinda Williams performs live in the French capital.
The award-winning singer-songwriter will visit Paris as part of a European tour this summer, playing at the Alhambra on July 23rd.
Williams first started recording music in the late 1970s and went on to release 12 studio albums, including last year's Little Honey, which featured in both Time and Rolling Stone magazines' 'albums of the year' lists.
She is known for her distinctive blend of folk, rock and blues music, which has won her critical acclaim and accolades including three Grammy awards, one for best female rock vocal performance in 2001.
The likes of Mary Chapin Carpenter and Tom Petty have recorded songs originally written by Williams, while Elvis Costello, David Crosby and many other big names have worked with her.
Barcelona's Sala Apolo will also feature on Williams' tour on July 20th, along with the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on July 30th.
