Mickey Mouse Pulls the Crowds
Disneyland Paris is attracting a record number of crowds in its 14th year of opening, according to recent research.
Figures show that the park is bringing in more people than ever since its opening in April 1992 and has seemed to have recovered from a brief slump in 2003, reports Trans World News.
A host of new attractions and a range of restructuring plans have been attributed to the sharp rise in visitor numbers.
Currently, the park consists of 14 hotels and employs more than 12,000 staff. Disneyland Paris accounts for more than 12.5 million tourists a year.
In 2002 a new area named the Walt Disney Park Studios was introduced and features rides such as Space Mountain Mission 2 a follow-on from the first ride for thrill-seekers.
The park also offers concerts, Wild West shows, restaurants, leisure activities and golf courses.
Visitors can access the park by bus, train, plane, car or via the high-speed TGV service, which has a stop-over directly at the resort.
