Paris Overpowered by Poetry

The romantic city of Paris will become even more conducive to love and companionship in March as it hosts its two-week festival of poetry.

Between March 3rd and 16th, the capital of France will be taken over by more than 5,000 events dedicated to the art, history and meaning of poetry.

There will be few buildings and public spaces in the city not affected by the festival, with streets, cafes, markets, stations, schools and museums all hosting events and showing their respect to the medium.

Lively debates and lectures will be held to meet the interest of people staying in hotels in Paris, as well as recitals, performances and workshops.

Visitors staying in the city for the duration of the festival will also be around when Paris holds its St Patrick's Day celebrations.

All around the city there will be a number of parties, shows and events organised to celebrate St Patrick, as well as plenty of partygoers drinking and dancing all night.
