Paris Pays Tribute to US Photographer

Paris pays tribute to US photographer Paris will be hosting a tribute to US photographer Saul Leiter until April 13th.

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to find the exhibition at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Leiter was a New York-based artist who first came to the city in 1946, aged 23 and with aspirations of becoming a painter.

After two years he was fascinated with the photographic medium, experimenting with both black and white and colour and developing his own form of street photography.

Some 100 images comprise the display at Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, all of which are going on show in France for the first time.

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris with an interest in art can find a fair dedicated to modern pieces in front of the city's Grande Arche between April 8th and 12th.

This event regularly attracts thousands of visitors who browse through the canvases, ceramics and installations on show.
