Paris Prepares for Carnival Parade
People staying in cheap hotels in Paris next month will be able to experience a highly popular event in the city.
The 13th Carnaval de Paris is scheduled for February 14th this year.
The event - which is also known as the 'Promenade du Boeuf Gras', or Fat Cow Parade - has a proud heritage that stretches back to the year 1274.
Visitors will be able to gather along a route stretching from Rue Le Vau to the town hall to watch the procession, which will get underway at 15:00 local time and continue into the evening.
Spectators will be able to see all sorts of unusual characters in fancy dress taking part in the parade, as well as marching bands and musicians.
There will be plenty of other parades, music concerts, fireworks displays and other celebratory events taking place throughout Paris on February 14th as the city celebrates Chinese New Year.
