Paris Presents Claudel Retrospective

Paris presents Claudel retrospective Paris' Musee Rodin is currently hosting a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the work of sculptor Camille Claudel.

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to visit this exhibition at the Musee Rodin, which can be found on Rue de Varenne, before July 20th.

Claudel lived from 1864 until 1943 and was partly known for her relationship with Auguste Rodin, with whom she worked from 1884 until their affair came to an end in 1892.

She was a highly accomplished sculptor in her own right, however, known for pieces such as The Waltz, which shows two dancers in an embrace, and The Age of Maturity, which is thought to be representative of her break-up with Rodin.

The retrospective includes around 80 pieces in bronze, marble, plaster and terracotta, as well as letters written to Claudel by Rodin.

Paris' Musee Rodin is one of the city's 'must-visit' attractions for art lovers, largely due to the fact that it is home to two of the most famous sculptures ever created – The Thinker and The Kiss.
