Paris Pursues a Jules Verne Adventure
Would-be adventurers staying in cheap hotels in Paris in April may get the chance to fulfil their dreams at a special film festival.
The 16th Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival will be held at Le Grand Rex in the French capital from April 25th to 27th.
This celebration of a great creator will encompass all of Verne's interests and passions, from scientific exploration to romantic fiction.
A combination of full-length films, documentaries and shorts will comprise the programme for the festival this year, which will welcome Hollywood director James Cameron as its guest of honour.
Jules Verne, who lived from 1828 until 1905, was one of the pioneers of the science-fiction genre and was the originator of some of the world's most exciting and adventurous stories.
His most famous novels include Journey to the Centre of the Earth, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Around the World in 80 Days.
