Paris Set for Busy Winter Events Schedule

Paris set for busy winter events schedule Guests staying in cheap hotels in Paris will have no shortage of things to do this winter as the French capital gears up for a number of exciting events.

The city has certainly got into the Christmas spirit, with the impressive festive illuminations having been turned on at the Champs-Elysees.

City breakers heading to Paris after Christmas need not worry about missing out - the lights will remain on show until January 10th.

Fans of ice skating can get in the Christmas mood by heading to Hotel de Ville, Paris's city hall, where a large ice rink has been installed. While undoubtedly a pleasant way to spend an afternoon, tourists will be pleases to know that it is also free.

For those who are still clinging on to autumn, Paris's Autumn Festival is running until December 19th, an event that has been in place since 1972.

Visitors can expect to see an impressive mix of literature, film, theatre and poetry, with the festival among the French capital's cultural highlights.

Looking ahead to February, guests residing in cheap hotels in Paris can look forward to Carnaval de Paris, which will feature 800 artists and 150 volunteers when it gets underway on the 14th.
