Paris to Get Animated at Manga Show

People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to join in with the city's tribute to Manga, the popular animation medium, in March.

The fifth Paris Manga show will be held at the Espace Champerret on March 8th and 9th this year and will attract animation fans from all over France and abroad.

Attendees will be able to see life-size versions of their favourite characters from Manga shows and also learn about the new creations coming out of the top studios specialising in the animation form.

Special guests and exclusive screenings will also be part of the event, as well as fairs selling games, toys and original merchandise.

Manga, which is in fact the Japanese word for comics, is the more commonly used term to describe anime, a particular form of animation that is traditionally hand-drawn.

Anime movies, books and programmes have explored most major creative genres, including horror, science fiction, adventure and romance.
