Paris Top City Break Destination
Paris has topped a list of short break holiday destinations for Brits, according to a survey by American Express.
Closely following Paris as top city break destinations were New York and Prague, which came in second and third place respectively.
As the pound remains strong against the dollar, other US cities such as Washington and Boston remained firm favourites with Britons.
The French city of Nice also made an appearance in the top ten and Amsterdam fell from third place in last year's survey to seventh place this year.
With two French cities in the top ten, France appears to be becoming an increasingly popular choice for holidaymakers.
Boasting a varied culture, high-quality food and drink and a host of activities, day or night, to keep tourists entertained, there is no doubt why the country made such a strong appearance.
