Reims of Bargains

Reims of bargains For those who leave Christmas a bit disappointed with their presents, a visit to Reims could be just the thing to get what they really want.

The first Sunday of every month sees a flea market, with antiques and bric-a-brac of various descriptions, held in the Reims Exhibition Centre.

As well as getting in some great new year shopping, visitors to Reims will have a huge number of things to see, do and enjoy.

Famous buildings include the Plaais Du Tau, the Basilique Saint Remi and the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Reims, while the city has numerous champagne houses to emphasise the fact that this region is the home of the world's most glamorous drink.

Set roughly halfway between Paris and Luxembourg, the city also makes a good base for touring the north of France or even combining the trip with the low countries.

Reims has plenty of accommodation, including cheap hotels.
