Shadowy Goings-on at Silhouette Festival
Paris will provide opportunities for some unusual experiences this summer at the intriguingly named Silhouette Festival.
People staying in cheap hotels in Paris will be able to find this outdoor event at the city's Parc des Buttes-Chaumont from August 31st to September 7th.
The festival is dedicated to showcasing and promoting the art of the short film.
All screenings take place outside after dark – providing an unusual and occasionally spooky experience – and every night sees a different live music act perform as the sun goes down.
The Silhouette Festival is a relatively young event but its first outings proved so successful that the programme has been extended to a full week of screenings.
To add to the quirkiness of the event, all of the French and international films are projected onto a large inflatable screen on the lawn of the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont.
