Snap Up Some Antique Bargains in Paris
Bargain hunters looking to take home some beautiful antiques can head to Paris next month to attend the city's Antiques Biennale.
Held at the Galeries Nationales du Grand Palais, the event attracts antiques enthusiasts from across the globe, who often opt to stay in cheap Paris hotels.
Up to 100 antique dealers will be showing off their wears at this year's show along with a number of highly-acclaimed jewellers.
The occasion attracts up to 90,000 collectors and art-lovers and is held every two years.
As well as furniture, visitors can also browse for old books and stunning art at the grand showcase which takes place from September 11th to 21st 2008.
Art enthusiasts are also invited to attend a pre-opening gala dinner, the profits of which are given to the Fondation des Hopitaux de Paris – Hopitaux de France.
Paris is renowned as a city of beauty and houses numerous galleries and museums packed with spectacular works of art and historic artefacts.
