Summer Celebrations to Get Underway in Paris

Many people will be flocking to cheap hotels in Paris around July 14th to join in with the city's celebrations of Bastille Day but there will be plenty more events to keep visitors entertained when these festivities are over.

July 14th also represents the first day of Quartier d'Ete in the French capital.

This festival runs until August 15th and brings plenty of entertainment to the city, as locals head to the coast and the country following their energetic Bastille Day partying.

More than 200 events are scheduled to take place during Quartier d'Ete, many of which are free.

Visitors who attend some of the festival's occasions will be given a tour of Paris' most picturesque outdoor spaces, including the Arenes de Lutece and the Jardins des Luxembourg.

Another location that will be involved in Quartier d'Ete is the Jardins des Tuileries, which occupies a scenic location on the banks of the Seine, between the Carrousel de Louvre and the Place de la Concorde.
