Tenth Tango in Paris
Paris is already one of Europe's funkiest cities but it is set to get whole lot funkier in November as it hosts its Tango in the Suburbs festival.
This year the event will be celebrating its tenth birthday and also marking the arrival of the tango in the French capital one century ago, giving people staying in cheap hotels in Paris even more reason to join in with the festivities.
No fewer than 40 concerts, balls and other events in 15 different locations comprise the festival.
Some 250 well-known artists from the Latino dance scene in 20 different countries will be at the festival.
Among the establishments that revellers will find themselves in are the House of Latin America, the University International City of Paris and the Argentinian Foundation.
There will be tango workshops for the uninitiated, a cinema and video event exhibiting audiovisual explorations of the dance and expositions of tango-themed sculptures, photographs and other works of art.
