The World in Union

The world in union Rugby union fans have one of the best reasons they may ever get to take a trip to France as the 2007 Rugby Union World Cup takes place in France between September 7th and October 20th.

The country plays host to 20 teams from around the world, with New Zealand favourites to win the trophy that England so memorably clinched in Sydney four years ago when Johnny Wilkinson's drop-goal soared over the posts in the dying seconds of extra time to secure a 20-17 win over Australia.

English fans will be able to see pool matches against the USA in Lens, South Africa in St Denis (the Stade de France), Samoa in Nantes and Tonga in Paris, while Scots can see their side play Portugal and Italy in St Etienne while having home games at Murrayfield against Romania and New Zealand.

Wales play Australia and Japan in Cardiff but travel across the channel to Nantes for their games against Canada and Fiji, while Ireland play Namibia and Georgia in Bordeaux, France in the Stade de France and Argentina in Paris.

The various venues will have plenty of entertainment put on for fans staying in cheap hotels, where fans will be able to enjoy mixing with supporters of other nations.
