Yellow Fever

Yellow Fever For those who like their fruit there is something a bit different in the Cote D'Azur town of Menton, which hosts its own lemon festival.

Taking place from February 10th to the 27th, the event celebrates the status of Menton as the lemon capital of France, with everything and anything associated with the yellow fruit being a cause for celebration, with parades and sculptures in abundance.

According to the festival organisers, the event also features a range of stalls selling local delicacies and snacks.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the area will find plenty of other things to see and do.

Apart from enjoying the mild Mediterranean climate away from the wind and slush of back home, there is plenty of sailing, beaches and nightlife to be enjoyed, while the area inland from Menton has some attractive hills to compliment the prettiness of the small harbour town itself.
