Yves Saint Laurent Exhibition to Get Underway in Paris
Guests staying in cheap hotels in Paris next spring or summer will be able to attend an exhibition celebrating the work of one of the world's most famous fashion designers.
The Petit Palais' City of Paris Museum of Fine Arts will host the Yves Saint-Laurent, 40 years of creation exhibition from March 11th to August 29th.
Some 300 drawings, documents and films will be on show, all of which pay homage to one of French fashion's greatest figures, who passed away last year at the age of 71.
Marking 40 years of work, from 1962 to 2002, the display of Yves Saint-Laurent documents his sources of inspiration, particularly his journeys to China, India, Spain, Africa, Japan and Morocco.
City breakers wishing to attend the exhibition should make their way to Paris's Avenue Winston Churchill, which is easily reached from Champs Elysses Clemenceau Metro station.
Last month, a collection of more than 1,200 items from Yves Saint Laurent's home was auctioned, with proceeds going towards HIV and Aids research.
