Berlin Loveparade Marches Back into Town

Berlin Loveparade marches back into town Berlin's Loverparade is set to return to the city in a colourful and noisy celebration of love, freedom and techno music.

Taking place on July 15th 2006 along Berlin's Strasse des 17 Juni boulevard, the latest incarnation of the festival after a year off due to financial difficulties.

Revellers from all over the world flock in their millions to the event to be entertained by some of the world's best DJs.

European club nights such as The Ministry of Sound, Ibiza's Club Space and Euphoria will join Germany's own Nature One and Fire Sessions in creating one of the world's biggest parties.

The first Loveparade in 1989 attracted some 150 music fans, but by 1999 1.4 million made the journey, whatsonwhen reports.

Organisers of the event state that the security of the revellers is paramount to the festival's success and police, private security forces, professional medical and security services along with volunteers called Loveguards will all be on hand.
