Book a Cheap Hotel in Berlin for Opera Festival

Book a cheap hotel in Berlin for opera festival People who book a cheap hotel in Berlin this month might be interested in spending the night at the opera as the city hosts the annual Staatsoper Unter den Linden Festival, or Festtage.

Highlights at this year's event include Tschaikowsky's Eugen Onegin, which will open the festival on March 26th and Verdi's opera, Simon Boccanegra.

Germany's native composer Richard Wagner will also feature, as the opera house showcases Tristan and Isolde on March 28th.

The festival will attract some of the opera world's most-loved artists including Anna Netrebko, Christine Schafer and pianist Maurizio Pollini, who will all perform recitals. Mexican tenor Rolando Villazon will also make an appearance as Lenski in Eugen Onegin.

This year marks composer and artist Pierre Boulez's 85th birthday, whose work will feature in the festival's programme.

Tickets for the festival are selling out fast so visitors to the capital are advised to act quickly to get a seat to watch a night of first-class opera.
