Everyone Likes a Trier

Everyone likes a Trier For wine lovers thinking of heading to Germany the ideal event could be coming their way when the Mosel Wine and Gourmet festival takes place in April.

Held from April 13th to May 13th, the event offers a great chance to enjoy the wine and food of the region while also taking in the beautiful scenery of the Mosel valley, which has plenty of castles and vineyards, plus cheap hotels.

Trier itself lays claim to being the oldest city in the whole of Germany, with many Roman ruins, as well as plenty of traditional German buildings.

Boat trips on the Mosel and visits to the birthplace of Karl Marx are just two of the activities that can be enjoyed in the city.

The region, in the west of Germany, is conveniently located for those who fancy extending their tour to visit the historic cities of Frankfurt or Cologne, while the Belgian and French borders are close at hand.
