Hamburg Celebrates Balletic Beauty
Hamburg will become a centre of celebration for the art-form of ballet with a number of performances this year.
On June 29th, the Hamburg Ballet will host the premiere of a new version of John Neumeier's 1977 production Legend of Joseph.
The original music for this ballet was composed by Richard Strauss in 1914 and the new version of the show will see Neumeier reconsidering the theme of the story and reworking his own choreography.
After the premiere, people staying in cheap hotels in Hamburg will be able to see this show on July 1st and 11th.
Hamburg will welcome a guest company in July – the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet, which will be accompanied by the Orchestra of the Stanislavsky Music Theatre.
The group will present two performances of Swan Lake on July 8th and 9th.
Visitors will find the Hamburg Ballet on Caspar-Voght-Strasse.
