Linde German Masters in Cologne

Linde German Masters in Cologne Although it may come as no surprise to many golf fans, the Linde German Masters, held in Cologne, is once again approaching.

The Gut Larchenhof tournament attracts a competitive field, with previous winners including Bernhard Langer, Stephen Leaney and Sergio Garcia.

Major European golfers will be taking part in this tournament with an extra incentive, as Ryder Cup spots are still up for grabs.

Lovers of the game may wish to take a trip to the city, stay in one of the many cheap hotels and take advantage of Germany's first pedestrian zone to see the sights or check out the shops.

Cologne has a range of galleries, boutiques and cafes, along with 2000 years of history, which has created one of the "most attractive destinations in Europe", the tourist board claims.

The city sits spectacularly on the Rhine and with over two millions visitors a year its famous Cathedral has become the most visited monument in Germany.
