Marine Adventures in Dusseldorf

Visitors to the German city of Dusseldorf are in for a wet and wild time in January as the annual boat exhibition comes to town.

All kinds of water-based activities are catered for at the Messe Dusseldorf as watersports enthusiasts looking for hotels in Germany drop anchor and moor up for a week of festivities.

Fishing, diving, yachting and surfing are all covered in the event, while all other kinds of pursuits are displayed, tested and enjoyed across the 17-hall exhibition – along with 2,000 boats from 40 different countries.

Sailing vessels, motorised boats and yachts will occupy nine halls alone, while 400 international boatyards and dealers are turning up to invite visitors to take a voyage around the world on their spacious vessels.

In the diving section, which always proves popular, visitors can witness the latest in underwater paraphernalia, while the huge glass diving tower acts as the central attraction.

Tickets are available for this event, which runs from January 19th to 27th, from €14 (£10) for adults with €10 concessions and €6 for under-13s.
