Nights of the Blades in Munich
Although it may sound like the title of a horror movie, Munich Blade Night is actually a very popular skating event.
Attracting as many as 25,000 skaters a night, the event takes place every Monday night from April 3rd to September 25th 2006, so time is running out for those who wish to join in the fun.
Organisers have created five routes throughout the city, as the popularity of group skating has swelled in recent years throughout Germany.
Travellers staying in one of the city's cheap hotels may wish to take part in the event, but will also realise that there is much more to do in the Bavarian capital, including sight-seeing.
Those joining in with the skate will be treated to a tour of the city's beautiful streets, but will also end the event in one of Munich's (many) beer gardens, for which it is renowned.
