Operatic Entertainment in Munich
Munich's Opera Festival will take place between June 28th and July 31st this year and will boast two event premieres.
The first performance of Doktor Faust by Ferruccio Busoni will be held on June 28th at the National Theatre, followed by Richard Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos at the Prinzregenten Theatre on July 24th.
One of the highlights of the festival is Opera for All, which this year will take place on Marstallplatz on July 12th.
This evening will include Charles Ives' Symphony no 1 in D minor and Schubert's Symphony no 9 in C major.
On July 13th, people staying in cheap hotels in Munich will be able to visit Max Joseph Platz to enjoy a live audiovisual transmission of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin from the National Theatre.
Those with more modern music tastes can enjoy Munich's Tollwood Summer Festival, which will see pop, rock and jazz artists perform in Olympiapark Sud between June 26th and July 20th.
