Sample Streetlife in Munich
Holidaymakers staying in cheap hotels in Munich on June 7th and 8th will be able to gain a unique experience of the city at its Streetlife Festival.
These dates will see Munich's Leopoldstrasse and Ludwigstrasse turned into a car-free mile, with amusements and entertainment set up for locals and visitors.
As well as simply being a street party, this event is intended to create a new and innovative concept of a 'living street'.
People will be invited to experience the street in a different way, with art, handicrafts, literature, music, dance, sport and games all contributing to a new experience of walking down an ordinary road.
This year is a highly significant one for the Bavarian capital of Munich, as it marks its 850th birthday.
Visitors to the city throughout the summer will be able to join in with its birthday celebrations, which will include concerts, art exhibitions, festivals, parties and museum displays.
