See What Frankfurt Has to Offer This Xmas
Germany is famous for its festive markets and Christmas holidaymakers can see what the city of Frankfurt has to offer from November 26th until December 21st this year.
People staying in cheap hotels in Frankfurt will find the market in the Romerberg, Paulsplatz and Mainkai areas of the city.
In terms of visitor numbers and size, the Frankfurt Christmas market is one of the most significant in Germany, with elaborate stand decorations, scenic surroundings and a huge Christmas tree.
Visitors can browse through more than 200 stalls set up around the medieval heart of the city, selling all manner of unusual souvenirs and items that would make unique gifts.
The market is not only about visual satisfaction, however, as a number of concerts and music events also take place in the area during the festive period.
Every day at 09:05, 12:05 and 17:05 carillons are played from the balcony of the Nikolaikirche and tower horns are played at the same location on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 18:00.
