Six Days of Cycling in Berlin
Cycling fans staying in cheap hotels in Berlin in the new year will be treated to an impressive display of stamina and skill - the city's annual six-day race.
Riders' fitness and endurance will be tested to the limit as they take part in six different days of competition, watched by more than 70,000 spectators.
Friday's late night is set to be one of the biggest draws, with races continuing until the early hours of the morning, while Sunday's family day is also expected to be a popular choice.
Visitors can find this event at the Berlin Velodrom on Paul-Heyse Strasse, close to the busy centre of Germany's capital.
The city is the centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan area, which comprises close to five million people from over 180 countries.
Berlin is also home to the Brandenburg Gate, one of Germany's most iconic landmarks, and the Reichstag, the site of the German parliament.
