Areas of Interest in Athens

For good shopping and fine dining head for the Kolonaki Square area.  There is an abundance of cafes and small bars around the square in which to while away the time and people watch.

There are two areas popular for dining out, good bars and late night entertainment, these are the Psyrri District and the less crowded Gazi area.

Nightlife in Athens

The atmosphere at this busy jazz club is tangible.  Many serious jazz musicians make their way to this venue at some time or another and therefore the evening’s performance can turn into an impulsive great night of jazz.

Local Information

The Allou Fun Park is a must for big thrill seekers.  It is situated at the junction of Kifisos Avenue and Petrou Ralli and there seems to be something there for the very young to the very energetic.

Further Afield from Athens

The town of Delphi provides interesting artifacts for historians such as the site of the ancient oracle.  It’s picturesque location and surrounding pathways, also enables visitors to enjoy the countryside of this beautiful country with great views of Mount Parnassus.  An inter city bus service operates to Delphi from Athens.
