Budapest to Host Innovative Film Festival

The city of Budapest will once again host the Space-Film-Music Festival this year.

This innovative event takes place in the open-air 'rooftop garden cinema' on the roof of the West End shopping centre in the heart of the city.

Running from July 4th until August 3rd, the festival will see a variety of films screened every day between the hours of 17:00 and 23:00.

Movies will be projected onto a large-scale special screen that allows high-quality viewing even in daylight.

The programme will be divided into four time slots, featuring children's films, animated movies and TV productions, as well as silent pictures that will be accompanied by live piano music.

Films have been selected from among the best Hungarian and international movies of recent decades, including the winners of the last Film Review.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Budapest can visit the screening area before the main film to be entertained by music concerts and other activities.
