An Ice Time in Dublin
Guinness isn't the only thing to come out of Dublin extra cold this year; on November 18th two huge seasonal ice rinks will open at the RDS arena, staying open until January 14th.
The rinks are part of the 7Up Christmas on Ice festival, which will also include a variety of family-friendly activities including Santa's polar palace, with lots of children's activities such as a "polar playzone" and an appearance by the man himself.
With a main rink for experts, a beginners rink for those finding (or losing) their feet and a third area for young children, there are facilities for everyone with skating classes on offer for those wanting to learn how it's done.
The RDS arena lies close to Sandymount Dart station to the south of the city centre, with all of Dublin's famed nightlife and culture close at hand.
Ireland's capital is well equipped for visitors, with plenty of cheap hotels.
