Catch the Bulmers Comedy Festival in Dublin
Holidaymakers who enjoy stand-up comedy should get their cheap hotels in Dublin booked soon so they can enjoy the Bulmers International Comedy Festival.
This event, which will take place between September 1st and 21st, has established itself as one of he world's top comedy festivals, playing host to the likes of Ricky Gervais, Lee Evans, Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran over the past five years.
Visitors to the 2008 festival will see Chris Rock make his debut Irish performance at the Olympia Theatre, with two shows on September 4th.
Another highlight will be three appearances by Michael Winslow – better known as the cop who specialised in sound effects in the Police Academy movies – at the Tivoli Theatre from September 2nd-4th.
Among the other comics performing for the festival are Jimmy Carr, Paddy McGuinness, Rich Hall and Ricky Tomlinson.
Double-act The Mighty Boosh will bring the event to a surreal and memorable end with five shows at the Olympia Theatre from September 16th-20th.
