Celebrate World Cultures in Dublin

Celebrate world cultures in Dublin People staying in cheap hotels in Dublin will be able to make the short trip to Dun Laoghaire in August to attend the Festival of World Cultures.

This celebration of the diverse people and civilisations found around the planet will be held on August 29th and 30th at various venues around Dun Laoghaire.

According to its organisers, the festival's intention is to "excite, inform and create awareness of the worth and potential of a multicultural society".

Some 250,000 people attended the event last year, enjoying a varied programme of concerts, club nights, fairs, markets, street performances and more.

While the programme for 2009's Festival of World Cultures will not be confirmed until July 1st, it is sure to be as diverse and exciting as in previous years.

There will be many other events taking place in Dublin and the surrounding area over the coming months, including National Heritage Week, which will run from August 22nd to 30th.
