Culture Night Spreads Beyond Dublin
Over 100 cultural facilities including museums, theatres and galleries are to open late across Ireland later this month as part of the annual Culture Night.
Taking place on September 19th, Culture Night events will see many facilities staying open until 23:00 BST in order to showcase the countries cultural heritage.
For the past two years the event has been held solely in Dublin, but this year it is to be extended to include amenities in Limerick, Cork and Galway as well.
The organisers expect over 100,000 people to benefit from the extension of the programme with hundreds of free events to take place under its banner.
In other news, WLNS.com has reported that over 1,000 individuals came out to celebrate Irish culture at the annual Great Lakes Feis held at the Lansing Centre in Michigan.
The celebration included over 1,000 Irish dancers with team and individual competitions and also baking and fine art competitions.
