Dublin Celebrates Toys and Trains
Dublin will be transporting its visitors back to their childhoods in May as it hosts the Toy and Train Fair.
This year, the event will celebrate its 15th anniversary of welcoming collectors and exhibitors for a festival of browsing, buying and selling.
Visitors will be able to explore collections of toys of all kinds, including diecast models by Corgi and Dinky, construction sets by Meccano and Bayko, trains by Hornby, Wrenn and Marklin and lead soldiers by Britains.
Those more interested in memorabilia will be able to find film annuals from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, as well as antique dolls, jigsaws and teddy bears.
People staying in cheap hotels in Dublin can find the event at the Clontarf Castle Hotel on May 25th.
Clontarf Castle, which was originally constructed in 1172 and rebuilt in 1837, is just two miles from the centre of Dublin.
