Opening on July 25th, the display titled Order, Desire, Light will include some 250 works on paper by a wide range of artists.

The pieces come from all over the world and encompass a variety of approaches to the practice of drawing, focusing on its experimental nature and the similarities it has to art-forms such as poetry.

Some famous artists are included in the exhibition, such as Louise Bourgeois, Juan Munoz, Bruce Nauman and Antoni Tapies, as well as some lesser known names from Germany, South Africa, Mexico, Italy and elsewhere.

Other exhibitions at the IMMA this year will look at work by Miquel Barcelo, Ulla von Brandenburg and Frida Kahlo, among others.
