Dublin Limbers Up for Dance Festival
People staying in cheap hotels in Dublin will be able to delve into the world of dance at a themed festival in the city this year.
The Dublin Dance Festival will see screenings, workshops, classes and shows held across the city between April 17th and May 3rd.
This year's event will be a particularly special one as it will see the festival becoming an annual part of Dublin's cultural calendar.
Artistic programme director Laurie Uprichard organised the festival to present contemporary dance as an art form that is capable of exploring modern issues with both personal and global relevance.
Ms Uprichard said: "The Dublin Dance Festival 2008 will give local, national and international audiences the opportunity to see a great range of work from 11 countries, including several from Ireland."
Among the highlights of the festival will be Frozen in Time, an exhibition of photographs of dance at the DanceHouse and Rammed Earth, a show at SS Michael and John on May 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
