Dublin Theatre Festival Programme Revealed
Organisers have unveiled the programme for this year's Dublin Theatre Festival which is once again expected to draw a mammoth crowd from across the world.
Performers from more than 12 countries are heading to the Irish capital for the event which is being held at 16 venues across the city.
The 18-day showcase will this year feature major international plays including Black Watch and The Year of Magical Thinking.
Audiences at the drama festival will also be invited to attend the world premiere of a new version of Brian Friel's Hedda Gabler.
Held from September 25th to October 12th, the event is expected to sell out fast when tickets become available on August 20th.
Artistic director at the festival Loughlin Deegan told rte.ie: "Building on the momentum generated by last year's anniversary, we are delighted to announce an equally ambitious programme in 2008 featuring some of the world's leading companies and artists."
