Evita to Regale Dublin
Theatregoers staying in cheap hotels in Dublin this September will be in the presence of a legendary figure if they choose to pay a visit to the Gaiety Theatre.
This venue will play host to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's timeless musical Evita from September 15th to 27th.
The story follows Eva Peron, the wife of former Argentine president Juan Peron, who rose to such a position of prominence that she was officially named the spiritual leader of Argentina shortly before her death.
Some of the most famous songs ever to be performed on the stage feature in the show, including Don't Cry for Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars and Oh What a Circus.
The title role will be assumed by Louise Dearman, whose West End credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease and Kiss Me Kate.
Che Guevara will be played by Seamus Cullen, one of the finalists from the BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do, while the role of Juan Peron will be filled by Mark Heenehan.
Visitors to Dublin will find the Gaiety Theatre on South King Street.
