Guinness Jazz Joy
Ireland's largest jazz festival in Cork includes a wide range of music to suit many tastes.
Various venues including the Everyman Palace Theatre and Cork Opera House will host Dixieland, swing, bebop and traditional jazz.
World-class jazz wil be performed on five stages day and night at the Guinness Festival Club at the Gresham Metropole Hotel.
This year's highlights include the Phil Woods Quintet, EST and the Gary Burton-Richard Galliano Quartet and more than 1,000 musicians from 30 counties will entertain nusic fans.
Other include Nordic band Jazz Kamikaze, the Avishai Cohen Trio, Jeanie Bryson and Sound of Seventeen Big Band.
Previous artists have included Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie and Art Blakey.
Situated on Ireland's scenic southern coast, Cork was an important Viking, then Anglo-Norman, trading post and attracts more than 40,000 music fans each October
