Head to Dublin for the Ireland Horse Show
Lovers of all things equine will be heading to Dublin in August for the Failte Ireland Horse Show.
The show, which is described by the city tourist board as "a Dublin institution", will come to the RDS complex in the centre of the Irish capital from August 5th to 9th.
Tens of thousands of people from across Ireland and the world attend the show, making it one of Ireland's biggest events.
Ireland's affinity with the horse is celebrated through the variety of events that are held at the show, which include the Nations' Cup and the Aga Khan Challenge Trophy.
Horse lovers will be able to see a variety of impressive animals at the show, from the finest show horses to the best international show jumpers.
Sports of a different kind will be celebrated at Dun Laoghaire - just outside Dublin - next month when it hosts the 2009 Volvo Regatta from July 9th to 12th.
