Maritime Festival Comes to Dublin's Docklands
Dublin will turn into a hub of celebration of all things maritime at a themed festival at the end of May.
Running from May 30th to June 2nd, the Docklands Maritime Festival 2008 will include majestic tall ships, which will be available for all to see on the River Liffey.
More than 70,000 people visited Dublin for last year's event and the 2008 festival is expected to prove just as popular with a packed programme of events and activities.
People staying in cheap hotels in Dublin who make it to this year's celebration will be entertained by themed street theatre shows and musical entertainment provided by the Spraoi arts group.
The festival will also boast the Irish capital's largest outdoor summer market, which will sell food, clothing, jewellery, crafts and more.
Visitors will find that the Docklands area of Dublin is just minutes away from the city centre and easily accessible by train and bus services.
