Rembrandt to Visit Dublin Castle Library
The Chester Beatty Library will this summer host a number of works by the Dutch master Rembrandt.
Rembrandt is best remembered for his paintings but he was also a highly accomplished printmaker and graphic artist.
The exhibition at the Chester Beatty Library is being presented in partnership with the Rembrandthuis museum of Amsterdam, which is a recognised centre for the collection and study of the artist's prints and etchings.
Seventy-five of Rembrandt's best prints comprise the showcase, which will open on June 25th and run until September 14th.
During the course of the exhibition, the library will host a series of talks and demonstrations with print artists from Dublin's Graphic Studio.
