Take in Oxegen in Ireland
Music fans staying in cheap hotels in Dublin in July may get the chance to experience one of Ireland's premier rock events.
Oxegen 2008 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse in Naas, Co Kildare – which is a short car or bus journey from Dublin – between July 11th and 13th.
The festival's line up boasts a number of the most successful bands on the current music scene, with Kings of Leon, REM and Rage Against the Machine filling the three headline slots.
Other top bands on the bill include Interpol, the Verve, Kaiser Chiefs, Editors, Manic Street Preachers and the Fratellis.
Festivalgoers will be able to enjoy a range of other entertainment offerings, including a funfair featuring the usual ferris wheel, rollercoasters and dodgem cars, as well as circus performers positioned around the festival site.
Oxegen 2008 has adopted a number of environmentally friendly policies, encouraging its visitors to take the bus rather than drive and employing cleaning specialists to ensure that as much waste as possible is recycled.
