Time to Be Dublin the Fitness Regime
Those feeling fit can take in a visit to Dublin with a difference in October, when the city's marathon takes place.
Held on October 29th 2007, the race starts at 09:00 local time in Kildare Street in the centre of this historic capital, with the 26 mile, 285 yard trek winding round the Georgian streets, taking in a range of sights on its way to the finish at Merrion Street West.
Organisers have stated that EU residents can enter for a fee of 70 (£47) if they pay before September 1st 2007, with a fee of 80 for those entering later up to the final possible registration date of October 8th.
Footsore runners space staying in cheap hotels can wind down after their tiring but rewarding achievement by enjoying the fine party atmosphere that the city provides, or by taking in the golden sands of Dublin bay on a crisp autumn afternoon.
As with any visit to Dublin, a pint of Guinness or two may be in order, but ideally not just after the race and certainly not just before!
