Visit Dublin for Heritage Week
Travellers will be booking cheap hotels in Dublin in August to be part of Ireland's celebrations of Heritage Week.
Every year, the Council of Europe and the European Union organise Heritage Days, an initiative that sees millions of people visit historical monuments and sites in some 40 countries.
In Ireland, the event is extended to form Heritage Week, which this year will see various events and activities being held from August 22nd to 30th.
Highlights of Heritage Week in the Dublin area will include a series of guided tours of Ardgillan Castle, a historic building located in Balbriggan just north of the capital, which overlooks Barnageera Beach and the Irish Sea.
In the centre of Dublin, there will be a number of daily events held at the National Gallery of Ireland, including gallery tours, talks and children's workshops.
Marsh's Library on St Patrick's Close in Dublin will also be involved in Heritage Week, hosting an exhibition of early printed books exploring the wonder of the animal kingdom.
