What a Corker
Visitors to Cork can enjoy 12 days of fun from June 19th to 30th as the Cork Midsummer Festival brings culture, music and entertainment for all the family to the Republic of Ireland's second largest city.
Last year saw performances by a wide range of bands, theatre productions and a party in the park, with the festival site promising a similar array of entertainment and enjoyment this year.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels can also enjoy a range of attractions in Cork.
These include the Shandon Church Tower, where the clocks are so unsynchronised each one tells a slightly different time, plus one of the world's largest harbours, including the docking point at Cobh (Queenstown in 1912) at which the Titanic docked en route to the nearest iceberg.
Cork also offers plenty of traditional Irish hospitality, food and drink, with the party atmosphere bound to be heightened by the festival.
