You Oyster Go There

You oyster go there Oysters have been eaten for centuries as a delicacy, something visitors to the Irish town of Clarenbridge will be able to try for themselves at the 2007 Clarenbridge Oyster Festival.

Held from the 7th to the 9th of September, the event celebrates the tasty molluscs, claimed to be an aphrodisiac, with a series of events, with the published programme including a golf tournament, band night in the festival marquee, a gala and a jamboree.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the area can thus enjoy plenty of boogying and of course plenty of drink to wash down the celebrated aquatic invertebrates.

Clarenbridge lies close to the city of Galway in County Galway, a rural area close by the rugged and beautiful west coast of Ireland, where visitors can both admire the scenery and see the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean from which all those oysters came.
