Book a Cheap Hotel in Venice and Pop the Question
Book a cheap hotel in Venice this Valentine's Day, as women have voted the romantic city as the place they would most like to be proposed to, according to a survey.
Research by online travel agent, sunshine.co.uk, asked British women if they were proposed to abroad, where would be their dream location. As many as 86 per cent of women voted for it to be on a gondola in Venice.
Other popular locations were Times Square in New York (77 per cent) and on a hot air balloon flight in Barcelona (42 per cent).
Locations that once seemed popular are now slipping down the scale, with only 19 per cent wanting their boyfriends to propose on the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Chris Brown, co-founder of sunshine.co.uk, said: "It's interesting to see that the Eiffel Tower is slipping in popularity with women when it comes to wedding proposals, as I think many men would class it as an ideal place to pop the question.
"I think in this day and age, it's all about thinking outside the box."
